Blue Whistles

I'm watching the DUKE vs. Miami game and noticed one of the officials use a blue whistle. I havent seen the rest of the crew does anyone know anything about that? Let me know. I think the official using it is Tom Eades.

No, I have seen a solid white Fox 40 mini.

It's part of Blow the Whistle on Cancer. Officials are giving some if not all of their game check to the Jimmy V Foundation to help find a cure.

Men's officials are using blue whistles, while Woman's officials are using pink whistles.

I used my pink whistle today. I was actually distracted by it, bright pink, within my peripheral vision. I guess that after twenty-seven years, it became easy to ignore a black whistle, against a black and white jersey, within my peripheral vision.

Pick out your favorite whistle color and write a check to some charity. It will be a good excuse to why you are using a camouflage whistle.

Hey Marco. The knee was doing great in the beginning of the season. Now it's starting to act up again. I had a game tonight and started to act up again. We will see. How is the season going??

Go to that website for more information on how to donate. As far as the whistles, some boards or associations are passing them out. However, I got mine from amazon.com.

On a slightly different note-I use the metallic gold Fox 40 classic whistles to present to the most improved high school referee who officiate at our primary(elementary school) comps.

Just a fun thing to reward them for improvement.

I got a black Fox 40 Classic for having the least questions wrong, eleven of eighty, at one of our local IAABO board's Refresher Exam sessions. I had been using a Mini Fox 40, but after using my "prize" this season, I'm going back to the Classic full time.

Also, the reason that I only got eleven wrong was that the night before the exam session, "I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express".

That's the good news. The bad news is that a junior varsity official, at another session, got only nine wrong. He also must have "Stayed at a Holiday Inn Express".
