I'm going to throw up!

I just heard, from the game on TV, that Dick Vitale will be making his return next week...in the UNC/Duke game. Because it has to do with his health I'm not totally raising the BS flag, but I wonder if he could have come back earlier and someone told him to wait until his two favorite teams were playing.

Better get all those "Diaper Dandy's" ready baby!

Mark Padgett Sat Feb 02, 2008 06:21pm

The first time I ever saw him doing a game on TV, I thought his name was Dick Vitalis. Then the camera panned up to show his head and I knew that had to be wrong. :D

Dan_ref Sat Feb 02, 2008 06:38pm

If you're going to throw up please turn your head towards Chuck.

Thanks.

I thought you were going to say you would be puking on some coach's shoes!

Who's Dickie V going to root for? He'll be beside himself.

Yes, this is a conflict of interest. He may just get so excited that his head explodes. What would happen, if like John Wooden and UCLA, these two programs actually had as much success as their great players and coaches indicate?

No, No, No. Hold it in. Wait until you have a coach that has really ticked you off. Then, let it fly right on top of his shoes!:D

Actually, I missed the old geezer.;) I just received a PM stating he's being reviewing the rule book.

Ohhhhhh!!!!!!!! Bay-----Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

...I kinda like the guy.....

BktBallRef Sun Feb 03, 2008 11:12pm

I wish we could hear the guy. Instead of getting the game on ESPN, we'll have to listen to Packer on Raycom. http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...mages/puke.gif

DV is good for the game. I'm glad he's back.

I hit the mute button on every game that he's on. He's fingernails on a blackboard.

As you might know, this is the meaning of the roots of 'ecstatic'.

I was just going to comment on the large number of people who apparently have televisions without a volume control.

I have it set to almost zero on almost every sports broadcast -- just loud enough to hear the crowd reactions and be able to ignore the talking heads.

And that is exactly how I've watched sports for the last several years also.

Good officials let the game come to them. Good sportscasters...if you can find them....do the exact same thing.

One feature I wish TVs had is the opposite of mute. I wish they had a feature to not display any video, but do play the sound.

We have those around here. We call them "radios."

No problem...he is free to pull for whomever he likes. But it is obvious he loves Duke. I'm pretty sure he sleeps down the hall from Coach K. :D

Down the hall?

Why does this remind me of the joke about the priest, the cleaning lady and the soup ladle?
