IMO, it is wrong to communicate your actions without a disclaimer for young(er) officials. The vast majority of the time, and your own advice, is to move away from a coach after giving him/her a T.
Maybe my fault in this and similar situations is to be very careful about what a veteran says in the company of a younger official. Someone could easily copy your actions and find themselves in a pickle. This may be similar to thread dedicated to hearing smart A$$ comments officials make to coaches and players. A veteran can simply do/say things a rookie cannot and that should be mentioned when things like telling a coach he/she must sit immediately following a T is talked about.
