NBA D-League Officiating tryout camp!
 
Can anyone tell me about the NBA D-League officiating try-out camp?
Is it open to anyone?
When and where?
Ect.?

I got my "by invitation only" invite 2 weeks ago. I know they sent yours too!;)

I didn't know they sent out invitations for the d-league tryout. I know last year all the guys that went paid money and out of that camp 2 got picked up for sure and maybe one other.

...for a recent article about the tryout camp. Maybe one of you referee colleagues has a copy. You had to fill out an application and have it evaluated by the staff led by George Toliver--former NBA official/current NBDL Director of Officiating. The article said the D-league was looking strongly at people who had experience at the D-2, D-3, and Juco levels.

I was thinking about going to that camp this year. Its in Texas and I have a good friend that is an NBA official.

I def. know who George is rsox34. The "application" is not a physical piece of paper that you fill out. There is a website that you go to and fill out a profile. If you are seriously considering trying out for the pro level you should go to this website and create a profile. It's nbaofficials.com.

Also, instead of trying to go to the D-League tryout I would suggest either going to George's camp in Harrisonburg, VA or to one of the Coast to Coast camps(las vegas or orlando). JMO though
