Newbie had question regarding foul penalty
Worked with a newbie last night and he had a question on a call (NF rules):
A1 inbounding. He hands the ball to A1 but prior to A1 releasing the ball, A2 fouls B1. Team B is in the bonus. Should he allow shots since it was a live ball but no team control. He asked me what to do. His question revolved around knowing there's no shot on a team control foul and that on a dead ball, the foul has to be intentional or flagrant to shoot, but what about a live ball when there's no team control and the foul was not intentional or flagrant. What do you think my answer was?

"Go ask Bruce?" "It depends on whether the shots will put us into overtime?" |
