About 10 years ago, I observed a showcase game played at the newly opened MCI Center in downtown DC between the #1 team from Indiana and DeMatha. All of the officials for the game were newly minted college refs and may have been a bit too pleased with themselves. Anyway they had the same thing happen. Only they chose to wipe the slate clean and start over with another jump ball. :eek:
