Tale of two games
 

Had two very different games tonight. G/B varsity doubleheader. Girls game started with V coach asking us to call all the fouls on H because his team "would need it." He wasn't just being humble.

First quarter 22-2, halftime 39-4. Running clock the entire second half. Just a bad experience for most everyone involved, including me. I just hate these games.

Boys game was completely different - good competition, decent skill and athleticism on both teams. H got out to a double digit lead early, and then V chipped away through the game to end up leading in the 4th and winning by about 6.

The end wasn't ideal - intentional foul was called by a partner, the coach through a fit and drew a T from me, and V made 3 of 4 to extend the lead to 6 with under 1 minute to go. Unfortunate series of events, but the game itself was a lot of fun.

Hope to never do another game like the first, and wish every game was like the second. Strange day...

I'm no Nostradamus but I predict there will be more of both those type games in your future. Buckle up and hold on.
