I feel like such a noob official

just called Honig's and ordered shirts, pants, whistles, wet garmet bag, pregame board, all that good stuff.

I have been waiting and waiting and waiting to do and finally got around to it and with some extra Christmas money I just felt the need to splurge a bit.

Made me feel like I was in my first year again!

Extra Christmas money just means you forgot to pay a bill.

I'd rather do business with them, knowing their track record and doing business with them for many years than go to some "newer" place with better deals, etc.

<3 Honig's (NOT Hongi's as stated in someone else's thread

Let me second that one..........hands down, the best shirt on the market. I believe they are now 10.00 bucks. They do run a tad large if anyone buys one. Make sure you order the right shirt. Quite a few guys around here have the college wide stripe which thet bought in error.

My wife bought me a new shirt for Christmas...don't know where she got it but it feels like it's made of the same material as Under Armor gear (without the Ed Hockulee fit ) and it's comfy as hell! Very lightweight and does not require an undershirt.

I'm familiar with the shirt, bought one from them.

2-1-1
The official's uniform shall be a black-and-white striped shirt, black pants, shoes and socks.

How is it not a black-and-white striped shirt?

Oh well, not sure I understand the thinking. It's a good looking shirt. As long as all three are wearing the long shirt, let'em wear it.

When in Rome ......... What if I wanted 4 inch wide stripes? You gotta have a little consistency. Side panel as I mentioned is frowned upon here, but the point is the material is great. Did you find they ran big?

Well I do not think the NF gives a rat's behind if you wear these shirts or not. For one they still fit the description of the rulebook. They are just a different style. And frankly I do not see what the NF would do about it in the first place. There are NF recognized states that wear grey shirts for their post season games. I think this is just like the NF position on mechanics. The states have say over what their official should or should not look like. Also the side panel is frowned upon by one of the basketball administrators and in the effort of consistency if they do not agree, they do not allow them to be worn period.

And for the record, you can buy the same shirt without the panel and you cannot tell the difference.

Peace
