So do you all shut it down for 2 weeks in your area due to the holidays too?

My last game is this Saturday & we don't go again until 1/4/08. I was just getting into it... I guess it's back to the ol' youth & wreck ball circuit :mad:

What do you guys/gals do to keep sharp during the break?

Nope, I have a varsity game tomorrow night and then Dec 28 and Dec 29 as well. Wouldn't be surprised if I pick one up on the 27th as well.

Nope, I'm done until the 4th as well. I had the opportunity to pick up a couple of games tomorrow night but couldn't because of family commitments. There is a varsity tournament going on next week but I'm still working sub-varsity and don't expect to get a call for that.

After about 8 years off my knees are going to enjoy the 2 weeks off. I feel your pain about just getting into the groove, however. The rust finally felt like it was coming off. Oh well, I'm still going to enjoy the rest.

Christmas tourneys next week, I actually have 5 VG games in a 4 day stretch...that would suck to be off that whole time..

I have a game tonight and my next one is on the 28th.

My legs will enjoy the week off.

I'm working a game between some of Santa's elves on the 26th. If I have to call any Ts for hanging on the rim, I'll let you know. :D

Have one tonight (20th) and then 4 in four days next week starting on the 26th. Plenty of tournaments going on.

I teach HS so I have the next 2 weeks off and told my assignor I was available day or night for Xmas tourneys...big mistake. I now have 7:30 & 9:30 AM games on 28 Dec, plus a couple more morning games during that week. DOH! Be careful what you volunteer for ;)

If Santa is in attendence, be sure to report back on whether he was naughty or nice. :D

Finished 2 early games today, two games each day through 12/23 and then nothing until 12/26.

Have a JVB game tomorrow then off until Jan. 3. Tweaked a hamstring about a week ago so I can use the time off. I've been going 5 days a week since the start of the season.

don't work a single X-Mas tourney or game til 1/4/08. it's off to the ski slopes for me and the family. the only game I hope to watch in Pats @ Giants on Sat. 12/29......I PRAY that the Pats go undefeated so that we all can stop hearing about the '72 Dolphins!

Had one tonight. Have one tomorrow and 2 on Saturday. Next week, I have one Thursday and one Saturday. And games the 3rd, 4th & 5th.

I have 6 games between now and the 5th of Jan...have a JV/V tomorrow and saturday, and C/JV on the 5th...

I had a game tonight. I will have a game tomorrow. I will have 8 games from December 26-29 in a X-Mas Tournament I have been working for the last few years. I do not get much rest until after the New Year. Then that is only a few day and I am right back to normal.

Lots of tournaments here. I work tonight and Sat then off until the 26. Have 1 on the 26th, 2 the 27th, 1-28th, 2- 29th 1-30th and from 9am - 1pm am officiating a 3 on 3 tourny for teams 17 - 21 years old. Should be a fun week and good time away from the classroom.:D

Did a Girls frosh/Jv DH last night. My partner,1st year official,busted out that one on them. He thought it was hilarious, the girls stared at him with the deer look and I got to laugh ,inside, cause nobody else laughed.

"Back to normal"? That's scary. ;)

Last games here were Wednesday (19th), nothing else until the 4th. I'm missing out on that weekend as we'll be out of town for two weeks visiting my folks in Iowa. I don't work again until Jan. 10th. Then I'll have two more games before my other part time job sends me off to Atlanta for a week and a half. Our schedule currently only goes through the 24th of January, I have no idea how much I'll work after I get back (not sure how much my assigner will appreciate me losing out on a week and a half in January).

Varsity game tomorrow night - Wreck league on Sunday - Back in action on Dec 27, 28, 29 for Varsity games - Then normal operations again on Jan 4

I have a game this afternoon, then I'm off until January 2. There are holiday tournaments next week, but those are primarily varsity only, so I don't have any of those yet. A few tournaments will have JV tournaments in conjunction, but I'm not scheduled for any of those games. And AFAIK, there are no JH or youth league games between the holidays. So it will be ten off days for me. :mad:

Well it's Saturday and I worked last night - next game is Thursday, 27th. My knees will enjoy the time off - I actually turned down a game for tonight and one for the 26th in order to have the rest & relax time.

Jacobs in Algonquin. We do a game or two in that general area every holiday, although normally we do a Friday night/hotel/Saturday morning.

I have 4 games over the Christmas Holiday, so I just relax in between the break...
