I have to admit I was prepared to have some fan whining about a call.

Oh Jeez....I'm sure I've made some calls that make that referee look like Earl Strom.

Yeah - I wouldn't have called it because it wasn't blatant. :D

Not only that, those uniforms, more speficially those shorts were "blatantly" 1980ish.

Seriuosly, I have watched it maybe six times just looking for something the offensive player may have done ... I got nothing! :eek:

Maybe the offensive player was "giving him the business." :D

I've not seen any. Frankly, I think links to youtube should be banned from this forum.

I'm still trying to figure out how the offensive player pushed off with the same arm he was shooting with......

The official's are wearing a collar as well. So this is obviously a very old tape. Also if you breathed on someone back then, a foul was acceptable. Those days are over.

And judging from the index to the right of the screen, I'd say there are a lot of other "worst calls" on youtube. I'm not gonna plow through them all and make a judgment.

I do think youtube can be fun for other purposes, though. Like entertainment.

Well at least he sold it. :D I don't think anyone was buying though. Sure don't see anything there. But we've all had whistles that we'd like to have back right?

As far as "if you breathed on someone back then, a foul was acceptable," that just isn't true. We have some old, old old-timers in our group and they have always been ardent supporters of not calling "touch fouls." Not calling meaningless contact is not a new philosophy.
