Pre-game Warm-ups
3-6 Simplified & Illustrated
"There is no restriction on size of logo/trademark/reference for warm-up apparel, including shooting shirts. Because these items of apparel are not worn by players in the game, the logo/trademark/reference restrictions do not apply." How about black wrist bands, about 6 inches wide, with a name, i.e. "Gavin" on it? Had a Varsity game the other night. Visitors wore red jerseys. Every player during the warm-ups had their shirts tucked in very nicely. It is a POE from our state to make sure all players have their shirts tucked in during warm-ups...just as they would in a game...and no jewlery, etc. during warm-ups. Well, these players also had big black wristbands on with a person's name on them. I asked one of the players during warm-ups what was up with the black wrist bands. He said, a player had passed away...and they were showing respect for him. He also stated that they would not wear these during the game. Watta ya got? |
While, by the book, the black bands are illegal and should not be worn during warm-ups, I would likely miss seeing them for a few minutes until just prior to the start of the game.

If my partner sees them and asks for them to be removed, I've got an OOO.
