Looking for Association Ideas

I take the reins next year for 1 season and I was hoping to share or more specifically, get some association meeting ideas. Specifically - non-assigning related material.

Don't get me wrong, I have last year's template but I am interested in hearing some different ideas.

What is working well / not well?

What is your general meeting format?

Anything you want to brain dump.

If you don't want to air it here - [email protected]

Is this basketball only or is it a multi-sport association?

Whatever material you do go over, be sure it's also posted on the web, or mailed to folks who aren't there.

Always review anyhthing that has come to the attention of the baord or supervisor during the week. Kicked rules or misapplied rules.

One rule review, one mechanics review every week.

Maybe take questions from the floor? Cases that came up?

One suggestion for how to handle certain coach type comments or situations.

Put some scorebook information into their heads?

Oh, and refer them to us! We'll help you keep them in line!

Does this association assign games or do you just train official?

How many members do you have?

Do you have regular meetings before, during or after the season?

Peace

We do not assign, our role is pre-season training.

One of the oldest associations in Ohio - started in 1926 - we have members ranging from 53 years to 1 year and everything in between.

We have somewhere between 250 and 275 members.

We meet before the season starts with one exception and thats the makeup meeting. We are required to go to 4 meetings total and our association puts on 7.

Good thing you guys are private contractors, or this would be a blatant violation of federal child labor laws.
