Delay of game warning

Any secrets to making the delay of game warning flow a little better ? Or is it just a kind of game interrupter, bulky kind of thing ?

For example Team A scores, player on Team A grabs the ball, preventing B from throwing it in. I tweet, game stops, I move smartly to table report my warning , then tell coach of the warning, then move back to endline and restart game. Just hasn't flowed very well for me yet.

Any suggestions ?

Nothing wrong with how you handle it, You just slow down mentally. JMO

Don't worry about "flow" when you're dealing with things like delay-of-game warnings. Make sure that everybody knows what the call is....the player involved, the scorer so that it be be recorded in the book, and the head coach so that he can't b!itch later that you didn't clue him in. A few extra seconds is well worth making sure that no one has any reason to complain later if you do have to issue a "T".
