I'm amazed that someone would criticize Hightower when there are other officials who either do the same thing or other things that stand out. And no, I'm not just talking about Welmer!

Welmer has always been Welmer in my eyes. Hightower used to be great. I'll also admit that, as a Big 12/Big 10 guy, both Welmer and Hightower have officiated games I've enjoyed watching as a fan-boy. I have no problem admitting that colors my opinion.

I can understand that. Many people think Welmer is my least favorite official when that isn't true. There is an official out west I really don't like.
