No cuffs, you might get a shoe caught in them and fall down and go BOOM!!!

dh

You're saying the same thing, Sarge. He said "higher in the front" and you said "shorter in the front." Semantics. :)

I like the cuffs for dress. On the court, no way, imo.

By the way, Monday is opening night for me. Can't wait! Plus, I get to hang out with M&M on Thursday.

Have any of you ever seen referee pants with the little slit on the outside - about .5"?
It allows the pants to go over the shoe better I guess. I know a few guys up in DC who have them and I might try it. It isn't really obvious, but I guess it works for them.

No I have never seen or heard anyone doing that until now.

I usually do the "military cut." That works from my point of view.

Peace

tomegun: I've seen this a number of times. Many NBA refs use this method. It stems from a fashion trend young people still use today. I have used it on my pants and it works very well. It's easy to do as well. Sew across the seam .5" up the outer side and split the threads where the fabric comes together. No one will notice and it will fall around your shoes wonderfully.

This thread is precisely why I like the fact we (football officials) wear knickers. :D

Oh, it goes without saying that the military cut works. This method is used with the military cut.

I have been going through an ordeal with my pants. Have you ever had a tailor who thinks they know what you want before you tell them and doesn't let you get a word in? Oh boy. I had to wear an old pair of pants to my game last night because this lady just doesn't get it. She also tried to say I told her some things about when I needed them and when I would pick them up - blatant lies. She is going to fix one more pair of pants she butchered and then we will part ways.

This kinda reminds me of that episode of "Friends" when Joey explains how he gets his pants "tailored":D

Not if it's really, really, really, really cold and you're an NFL official. :D:D

Sorry, I had to. Those things are ugly!

*Sigh* It's true it's true....

I'm not a fan either but I hear they're functional. At least they're not as ugly as the MLB umpire smocks.
