SLOBs and BLOBs

Had my second scrimmage yesterday afternoon. Assistant coach came over to tell us that the first hour would be half-court situations only, and the second hour would be a traditional full-court scrimmage. He showed us the schedule he was carrying and there were two time slots in the first hour labeled "SLOB" and "BLOB". I was stumped until he ran through the whole schedule for us, pointing out when they'd be running "Side Line out of Bounds" plays and "Base Line out of bounds" plays.

Never heard those names before, but I liked 'em.

I was expecting this to be a thread on Binary Large Objects.

Perhaps those labels were meant to indicate the two officials who would be working the scrimmage.

As soon as I saw the name of this thread, not knowing anything else, I knew Padgett would be one of the first to post in it.
