HS varsity game ends 65 to 64. Player from winning team immediately throws ball toward ceiling in celebration at sound of horn. The ball comes down near the top of the bleachers, which is still full of fans. Is this an unsafe/unsporting act that the officials should take issue with? Or should they leave the floor as nothing happend?

What ball? What Bleachers? :)
Leave it alone...go enjoy your post game shower. Dan |
Post-game Celebration
I say let it go and head to the locker room. Game over.

get out while the you can. Let the team enjoy the win. I know of an official who made the paper for turning the game around because the winning team player dunked in celebration. ( last game of the year and the only win they (thought) they had). This was an independent church league. The assigner was quoted as saying the official in question will never work his league again.

Time for this advice,...
Don't go looking for problems.
Call the obvious. Referee the Defense. Have FUN! :) |
Thanks! Got to go, not long to "game time".
