59 year old makes D3 football team

Not often the players are older than the officials. This one is even older than Padgett. I think.

Only by one year. Unless he's counting in metric.

Our daughter is attending a school in their conference and is a cheerleader. When I heard this on the news this morning I was looking forward to seeing him play...except that game is in Alpine Texas...a looooooong way from where we live in the DFW area. Don't think I will be making that trip.

I've been to Alpine once, was camping in the area and needed a few extra supplies...no offense to the fine people that live there...but I have never met anyone who went there on purpose.

Is "DFW" an acronym for the first three words in the official Texas motto: "Don't F--- With Texas?"
