End of third quarter in a close game. B coming down court with roughly 2 seconds left, I am trail in 2-man. Girl throws up an airball with about a second left. It is saved by B1, who taps it to B2, who puts up a shot that goes in at the buzzer. The problem is that I saw the clock stop momentarily with one tenth of a second on it. We got together quickly and I told my partner what had happened and we asked the timer if he had stopped the clock (A's timer, btw) and he admitted it, he thought the ball was going OB. We decided (my partner) that we had to play the horn and counted the basket. We got no real arguments but it was ugly for a minute. It was a Jr. High game but our varsity assignor is the principal for B and was in the stands, I talked to him between games and made sure he knew why there was confusion on the play.

If you positively saw the clock stop with 1/10th, I'd say you had definite knowledge of the time, and could easily wipe off the basket.
