Hi,

I was doing a grade 5 & 6 girls game yesterday and there was a player with the number "04". Is this illegal? Would you ever call it?

As long as there is no '4' on the court this is fine.

In a high school game, it's not legal. But in a 5/6 grade game, I wouldn't do anything about it. Just call her 4.

I did a rec game this weekend in which all 9 players on one team had "illegal" numbers. Every number contained at least one digit over 5 - some of them had both digits over 5.

And - these were custom uniforms they purchased.

Do you suppose they got a deal on 'em?

We have a Jr.High squad U.P. here that must've bought 70 jerseys at the same time with consecutive numbers. We let 'em play..., it's a good chance for us to work on our NBA mechanics.
