I wanted to know from some of the major D-1 officials that are in this room from time to time is where did you or some of the other D-1 officials get your thick black "neck lanyards" at? I have been trying to find one and I am not having any luck. Any help would be appreciated.

John, I work D2 and D3. I think you can probably get the neck lanyard at any sporting equipment store, or from any number of online sites. But I've been told that I'm not supposed to wear the neck lanyard. Now that we've gone to the V-neck shirts, we're supposed to use the "Smitty" lanyard that attaches to the loop on the shirt.

You know it is weird Chuck, but I have to agree with you about the reply you posted. But, all of the college assignors I work for want us wear to the neck lanyards.

I know you can get the smitty version "Noose"(thinner cord) neck lanyard at http://www.smittylanyards.com/ for $2.50.
They come with a plastic slide instead of the metal one (No rust)
I have a couple of them and like them very much.

Chuck --

Our commissioner just told us in the meeting that a guy had his loop on his shirt break during a game, making the Smitty lanyard completely useless. He suggested getting a noose lanyard (I personally don't care for the terminology) to use in such an eventuality.
