Question

I'm working one-man mechanics for a 3-on-3 halfcourt tournament this Monday. Does anyone have suggestions on where I should position myself to get the best look at plays?

Position yourself at home on the couch. I hate those 3-on-3 things. Ugh. Best wishes.

Serious answer is to stay on one side of the court and move a little between the endline and FT line. Unless you have a lot of room on the endline, it's almost impossible to go ball side in that type of game.

So do I. However, they desperately needed officials, I'll work for 5 1/2 hours at most, and we're getting paid 2x hours.

It should be an interesting set of games, as the cheerleading & dance squads are providing the scorers.

(Note interesting because some might not know anything about basketball, not interesting to look at, as in the following example)

Player: Come on ref, how could you miss that travel?
Me: Sorry, I had to check something with the scorer's table.
