I had another official ask me what I would have done in this situation the other night. What's your call?

Team A has six team fouls. During play, A1 lips off to an official and receives a technical foul, which also results in the seventh team foul for team A. Obviously you shoot the tech, but how about the bonus? And if you do shoot the bonus, who shoots it?

no bonus freethrows are awarded for giving a tech foul. also on a player control foul.

The technical foul is 2 shots and the ball OOB. Other than being a team foul, it has nothing to do with the Bonus situation. You don not shoot 1 & 1.

T counts towards team foul totals but does not result in bonus free throws.

Think of it this way, Pirate. Assume that team A has 8 team fouls. They're over the limit, right? Now B1 drives for a layup and is fouled by A1. The shot is unsuccessful. Would you give B1 2 shots for the shooting foul, and then also award a 1-and-1? Nooooooooooooooo!! So why then would you award a 1-and-1 after a T? You wouldn't.

Two words: common fouls.
