What I learned at Camp

The most important thing I learned today, the last day at camp, was that today, July 2, is our own rockyroad's birthday!! I didn't learn which birthday it was, since he was rather, uh, embarrassed about the whole thing.

Really!?! It's rocky's birthday!?! Cool! Happy birthday, rock!

Now that you're old, it's time to retire from officiating.

Why thank you all very much...but I find it hard to believe that was the best thing you learned Mrs. Rainmaker...sorry I never got to really see you work over there - the schedules just never seemed to mesh very well.

Which camp did you go to, Juulie? I went to the Aloha camp over the weekend. It was really good - I was fortunate enough to get evaluations from 3 of the top guys in our association. Learned a lot.

Belated Birthday wishes to you too, Smokey. Look at the bright side. At least you won't have to stand on your chair like Rocky to blow your candles out.

It was the OCOC at (any guesses?) OCHS. I actually learned a lot, besides DJ's birthday, and it was a very good camp for me.

3 important things.
1) Pay more attention to myself before the game so I'm ready to ignore myself during the game.
2) video is really, really helpful. which I already knew, but was re-affirmed. And from the video, even in 3-whistle trail needs to be closer to the play than I was.
3) ABC isn't as complete a total a$$ as I thought. There's actually a thread of humility in there. Really, Mark, you'd have been amazed.

3 less important things.
1) Although the PBOA has its problems, it's a pretty darn good association.
2) Being a woman ref, even a lesbian, isn't as difficult as being a gay male ref.
3)girls' basketball is really fun to referee when you get the hang of it!

well, the question is do you have a hard time getting reffing jobs? I just said that lesbians can get jobs, but gay men have a lot of barriers.

That's because he has so much to be humble about.

I wouldn't think so.

Of course, I've never thought you were a total a$$.
