Kicking/Tripping

So, I've been reading the CCA Men's Basketball Officiating Manual & I noticed that the signal for a kicking violation can also be used to report a tripping foul.

The Fed doesn't have a prescribed mechanic for tripping fouls (which happens far too often, especially in girls games IMO) What signal do you all use when reporting a tripping fouls at the HS level??

I use the "Block" signal at all levels. I just do not see anyone using the "tripping" signal for fouls so I just seen no need to use it.

Peace

I use block too, but when the trip comes from behind as the defender is chasing down the dribbler, it sends a confusing message to some people.
"How can he/she block from behind..."

So I generally go with push on a trip from behind, but I sure would rather use the kicking signal for clarification.

I use the block signal at the table as well as pointing to my foot that is slightly raised from the floor. I do the block first and then point down to my foot. Its just the way I do it......and others may do different as stated above. I know the combination is not a "book" mechanic, but its my way of communcating what happened.

I use block. It wasn't a body block, but the foot was not in LGP.

So now, instead of just refereeing the defense I have to referee the foot too?

To be a bit more precise, I'd say that the player didn't have LGP because of the location of the foot.
