Heard a brand-new (to me) clinker from a parent tonight. I was watching a very good Holiday Tournament, sitting in the stands, and listening to whatever. This one dad was explaining everything to the other dad. Know-It-All Dad says, "These guys (one was a woman, but hey, who's quibbling about details like an X-chromosome?) aren't calling anything tonight. Look, there's a hand-check, and another, look they're not calling any hand-checks at all. Oh, this is just terrible... yadda, yadda, yadda..." It took me a minute to figure out what he was referring to, but I finally got it: A Hand-Check according to this guy, is when the defender touches the dribblers hand on the ball!! Does he get credit for not calling it a reach!?!?!?
