Posting images

Is there a way that works to post images that are not links from a Web site? The "manage attachments" feature is supposed to allow this, but it does not work on files large than 1 kb....a useless file limit.

The "manage attachment" feature says the file limit for JPEG files is 100kb, which would be fine if it actually worked. But when I try to upload a 42kb image, I get an error message that says it is 41.3kb too big.

Of course I have no idea how they set this up, but I would bet the owners of this forum are not really interested in managing the images that people link to here.

Hard drives cost money, and there's the copyrights issues to deal with as well.

Anyway...what's wrong with using links?

The feature exists. It is not working.

I cannot use links from images on my computer...images that I scanned and would like to share.

Why don't you:

Open a free Photobucket account?

Upload the pictures?

Post them?

That's another way of saying they turned the feature off. For whatever reason

All You Can Upload (part of webshots) has a free service, too, and no registration is required.

Thanks for the suggestions for alternatives to uploading images. If the board owner here wants the image feature turned off, he could have done it. I would prefer that it work as "advertised," but I appreciate knowing about these options.
