I just feel you all should know.

He will not mention this at all or even brag (which he should). In the past others has done this when it happens to them and I feel I will do the dirty work for him.

One of our very own has been assigned to the Class AA Baseball State Finals (the big schools for those out of state) for the first time.

I am talking about our very own Bob Jenkins. Now let the jokes and congrats commence. ;)

I know, I know, I was just demonstrating obtusity... guess I was a little too, too.

Now that we've completely hijacked this thread from congratulating Bob (sorry Bob), I'll fill in the blanks.

The croquet match is an annual affair in the summer. Admission is charged and all proceeds go to the Lions Club camp for the blind. The highlight came a few years ago when our local State Representative at the time (a buddy of mine) playing for the Lions Club lost to an old lady with a walker! I swear he did not throw the match. He's just that bad. He has a new job now. He's in charge of our state's prison system. Heaven help us! :eek:
