I ran into the coach of the winning team shortly after our game and he said: "Hey, you didn't suck as bad as usual tonight." Life is good!!

Sounds like you see this guy more than once a season. You'll probably have the opportunity to "suck as bad as usual" when his team loses next time. Hey, we're only as good as our last game in a coach's eyes!

That's similar to the comment I got at the first of the Jr. High girls season in October. Coach thought I missed two travels on opponents and was expressing displeasure with my no calls, down on the other end I called his team for a travel. On the way by, he says "at least ya got one right". Some say I should have T'd him, but I have him no less than 8 times this year, he'll get it sooner or later. I just smiled at him and laughed, really thought it was funny.

After my first game ever I had a coach tell me "At least you sucked equally for both sides".

It would have been nice if he would have just lied and said "good job" or simply walked away.
