The rule book says that a player with the ball cannot touch the floor with anything other than his hand or his foot. The other night an athletic player was pivoting trying to find someone to pass the ball to but was unable to find someone and finally found himself double covered on the sideline. Still trying and without moving his pivot foot, he ended up on the floor with nothing touching the floor but his feet and the ball in his hands. He was over the ball in a pushup position. He pushed up and tossed the ball to a teammate without ever moving his pivot foot. The stands went wild when there was a no call. Was there a violation?
