NBA Officiating Ques Rockets Vs Jazz Playoffs
Anyone other than myself notice that in the Jazz/Rockets series, the teams, like NFHS,NCAA, started the games going opposite direction of their bench? Of course in the 2nd half they ended up playing in front of their bench. This happened in all 7games and in all the other playoff series as well as all other NBA games this season, that I noticed, the teams started the game going in the direction of their bench and the 2nd half was played in front of the opposing teams bench.
Can someone explain why this only happened in the Rockets series? |
I think it has something to do with regard to either the home or visiting team gets to choose which direction to start the game, while the other team gets to choose their bench. I don't know the specifics of it because its NBA, but I think that is wher you would find the basis of which team goes which direction, when, and how this is settled in relation to the benches.

a. A team's basket consists of the basket ring and net through which its players try to shoot the ball. The visiting team has the choice of baskets for the first half. The basket selected by the visiting team when it first enters onto the court shall be its basket for the first half. b. The teams change baskets for the second half. All overtime periods are considered extensions of the second half. http://www.nba.com/analysis/rules_4....av=ArticleList |
