SAWBO (Great Camp)

Well, just got back from the SAWBO Camp and the experience was awesome. I got to meet some great people and all of my games were very challanging. I think I have found my place on the womens side of things and will stay there with hopes of getting picked up. If anyone gets a chance to go, trust me...go!!!!:D :D

I definitely concur. Top girls teams from all over the country, and they were up and down every game all day long. Great input and worked with a ton of good D1 officials. Definitely worth every dime of the $120 camp fee. My next camp will be in Knoxville, TN (OVC/A-Sun) camp. Anyone have any input on this camp run by Curtis Shaw?

I currently work for Curtis. Be prepared to work hard. Take care of business. He expects both. He will tell you that "camp is camp" so be ready for midnight camp meetings and 8am games the next day. If anything he is a fair man and will tell you like it is. He has some quality clinicians and you will learn quite a bit. Good luck

What kinds of things were said or given as advice? Anything new mechanics or floor coverage wise?

IREFU2 Wed Apr 18, 2007 02:40pm

All of the mechancis are NCAA-W mechanics and nothing new that I could see or was told about. The games on Sunday were probably the best and the crew before me was told too many whistle were being blown. So we let them play as much as we could.
