Duh

(But they demand at lest 10 characters, so: Duh, and they play full court now too!)

johnSandlin Tue Apr 03, 2007 01:32pm

I am safely going to say Lisa Mattingly, Sally Bell, and Bryan Enterline. However, do not be suprised if Scott Yarborough, Tina Napier, or June Courteau got the nod either.

If you throw Rosie in there then you can have a mixed crew.

Bryan Enterline worked the WNIT final the other night so if the rules are the same as they are for the Men's tourney, he is not eligible.

True: Don't forget Dee Kanter and Mellisa Barlow. I would like to see Yarborough work.

johnSandlin Tue Apr 03, 2007 05:58pm

Kanter cannot work tonight. She was R for the Tennessee/North Carolina semi game Sunday night.

TRef21 Tue Apr 03, 2007 07:51pm

I think its the same crew as last year working again. Lisa Mattingly, Bob Trammell, Tina Napier

johnSandlin Tue Apr 03, 2007 09:03pm

I believe it is Scott Yarborough working with Mattingly and Napier. Trammell was the R for Rutgers semi game on Sunday.

Props to Mattingly for her 7th straight Final assignment.

Actually it is Michael Prince, but that makes 8 out of the 9 officials in the Women's final four and Championship game employees in the WNBA. I guess they just pick the best of the best. No favortism. No politics. The way it should be.

As they say from the mens side the womens game is always different

If that is true, I find that to be a big http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...thumbsdown.gif.

Is the pool of NCAAW officials really so weak that they can't find someone else to put on the championship game every third year? I am of the opinion that NO ONE should work three consecutive finals, let alone seven in a row. There have to be some comparable officials out there who could be worked into the rotation. Bounce this other official back and forth between a semi and the championship from year to year.

I'm sure that there are other deserving people out there who should be given a chance. To do otherwise, gives the impression of tremendous favoritism.

I find the interesting as well. It's funny because at the college I'm going to I have the womens head basketball coach as my instructor for a sport management class. I also should add that I work in the conference as well but on the mens side. He said on his games the women officials really aren't that great. Whatever good ones that do work the games are gone in a few years to DII or DI. So are the women really that bad at the DI level. I love watching Lisa work. She has the style, that makes her the best at what she does. If she is working 7 straight times she has earned it. Don't forget Sally Bell had a run as well.
