Sometimes, you just cannot win.

About 3 weeks ago, I advised my wife of the first AAU tournament. She reminded me it was Palm Sunday weekend. I told her I would do games on Saturday. Couple weeks later I let her know my schedule and she said that the kids we were hosting for the music festival had a concert at 2. Told her I'd get back as quick as I could, but it was unlikely I would make it. So today I get a call from the assignor wondering if I could work the first 3 games which would mean I could get back in time for the concert. My wife scolded me for having to get up so early when that was the only day to sleep in.

I guess it will be "Get up. Get out. And Get out quick."

A young lady and her boyfriend were in a very romantic mood. She asked him if they could make love. He said, "Honey, I can't. It's Lent." She replied, "To whom and for how long?" ;)

Our wives must be related. :)

Ahhhhh, it is indeed times like this that makes me realize that I do indeed have the best wife. EX-WIFE! I do make monthly payments on that model but I sort of look at it as an investment . . . for my sanity! ;)

I was married for five years the first time (and 28 so far this time - so this one might stick). I figured out the other day that if instead of divorcing my first wife I had killed her - I'd be out now!

Why is a Divorce so Expensive?

I may have had a 26 year gap between officiating stints, but it has been a 22 year gap since the divorce. My 2nd wife has been a much better match. And though sometimes I wish I had not skipped the 26 years of officiating, the 22 year gap has not been too bad. Guess I would rather have 2 gaps than none if you know what I mean.

Did you hear about the new Barbie doll - "Divorced Barbie". It costs $1000!!! That's because it comes with Ken's car, Ken's house, Ken's furniture, etc.
