Inadvertent Whistle?

Gentleman:

Arrow is pointing towards Team B. Basket by A and foul by B, time out A. Play resumes with and 1 free throw. Lead says 1 time. Free throw missed rebound bounces once , twice, three times in the paint, players remain motionless. Just as players wake up and go for ball, Trail blows play dead. Brain fart or maybe he though erroneous info was given, don't know.

What do you have?

Sounds like AP to me. Ball to Team B...

Mark Dexter Sun Mar 25, 2007 09:43pm

Posession arrow. (8.6.1)

No team control, go AP arrow.

No TC on the miss, IW, go to AP, B Ball

Thanks

AP is what we went with...I was lead so I know for a fact that I said "1 time" and signaled as such. :)

I went with that because in my head even though I gave correct information the whistle blew with no possession.

Luckily the arrow was pointing to team B. I say that because there was 1.1 on the clock to go at the end of the half and team A had pulled their guys off the line. Could you of imagined if we had an AP throw in for team A under the basket?

Ask JR. :D

He'll come up with some reason that following the rules (6-4-3e) and going to the AP arrow is "freakin' ridiculous." :p

Only if the clock was running while the the ball was being bounced to the shooter, and the official blew his whistle inadvertantly.

Actually, I don't think that the rule is freaking ridiculous. I think that you are freaking ridiculous. Old School with a rule book.

Just wanted to set the record straight. :)

Wait, in the interest of discussion...

Is saying that Nevada is just Old School with a rule book insulting to Old School?

Or do monkeys laugh at Nevada's posts?
