WTG Tubby!

Wow! Great news for our Golden Gophers!!

A Twin Cities sportswriter compared it to leaving the NY Yankees for the MN Twins. That may not even compare, at least based on recent results. No way did I think we would get a coach of Tubby's ability and stature. The U of M, which is the only DI college in the state, has a great coach and a reason to be excited for the first time in awhile.

Winona State University, the #1 ranked DII team in the nation and defending DII national champion, beat the #2 ranked and also undefeated team, Bentley College, last night to advance to the DII semis and extend their unbeaten streak to a DII record 56 games. WSU beat the Gophers in a preseason exhibition earlier this year when Monson was still coaching.

College hoops in MN is looking good!!
