Just look in the Bible and you can see how many stories involve jealousy and envy. These posts are no different.

Peace

There's plenty in the Koran too.

I'd be willing to bet my house that Steve Welmer will be working this weekend.

Are you talking about in the NCAA Men's tourney? Or the NIT? Or other?

deecee Tue Mar 20, 2007 04:43pm

hes my partner in a local AAU 4th grade girls tourney this weekend -- so Trigger looks like your house is safe for one more weekend.

canuckrefguy Tue Mar 20, 2007 07:50pm

Wasn't he on a crew with that Diebler guy? :p

Seriously - even if he isn't moving on - he's worked 2-3 more tourney games than any of us did this year

I was going to say the same thing -- I haven't seen him working the NIT and Steve certainly isn't done for the year this early.

And I'll take this bet too. Can you guys tell me what state you live in just so I have a rough idea of where my potential future vacation homes may be located?

TriggerMN Tue Mar 20, 2007 09:18pm

You can't figure out which state I live in? Let's just say I'm Rich's neighbor. My friend Carlos Mencia has three words for you!

Not sure how it's spelled, but "Do do do."

I believe that Welmer probably is done in the NCAA tournament and not because I don't like him or I am jealous of him. Just look at past history.

Mark, your statement above is very true, but only 3 officials worked in the sweet 16 or elite 8 in 2006 who did not work two games on the first weekend. They were Bryan Kersey, Hal Lusk, and John Hughes which is only 8.3% of officials assigned to the 2nd weekend.

Also look at the fact that Welmer only had one game in last year's tournament and has never advanced to the Final Four.

BTW Hughes, Kersey, and Lusk all worked 1st and 2nd round games this year.

No, it's really him. Though he may be wearing somebody else's pants. :D
