NCAA Fun Fanboy Thread
Stanford is being embarrassed by Louisville. The selection committee will take grief over their inclusion.
The other two morning games are good battles. Davidson/MD and BC/TX Tech |

I'm hardly a Stanford fan (in fact, quite the opposite), but they had no bad losses and some decent wins. I don't know if they were better than those left out, but they were not exactly a surprise tournament pick, in my view. The committee will take some justified heat, but this isn't one place. |
I disagree. Stanford finished in 6th place in the Pac-10 at 10-8 in league and lost their opening round game in the conference tourney. They only had 18 wins on the year and lost 4 of their final 5 games PRIOR to the NCAA game (which makes it 5 of 6).
Also you say no bad losses??? How about 45-75 to Air Force, which did not make the tournament and 46-62 to Santa Clara, another non-tournament team. These weren't close losses. |

And to elaborate on those 5 wins, those were actually wins against the bottom 4, since Stanford was in fact the #6 team in the league. Which means they also had 5 wins against the top 5 teams in their league.
EDIT: Compare that to Syracuse, who many people felt should have been in with their 23-9 record including 10-6 in the Big East. Of their 10 conference wins, only 2 of those came against the top 5 teams in the league. The other 8 were against the bottom 9 teams in the league, and they also LOST to 3 of those bottom 9 teams. |
Gotta love VCU giving Duke everything they can handle. Best game so far of the evening set
Gotta feel bad for the Michigan State player with the elbow dislocation. Nasty looking. |

Out here where people are on PST, they were morning games!
PS Is this where I'm supposed to write some remark about GW's performance? :p I must say that I was thrilled that Duke lost, since I took VCU on the money line at +240 :D |
121-86????!!!! Holy cow - Tennessee was runnin and gunnin...reminded me of the old Loyola Marmount teams with Bo Kimble and Hank Gathers...
