18 Greatest Calls of all times (Referee Magazine)

3 of the plays included are a 2002 Celtics/Laker game in which Kobe's last second shot was waved off, the 1994 NCAA-W Championship (UNC), and the Minnesota HS game where the kid made the game-winning shot while laying on his back.

I'm glad they included the Immaculate Reception, I've always tired of hearing John Madden and Phil Villapiano whine about that play. They also included the pass interference call from the OSU/Miami 2002 BCS championship game, a call I always thought was suspect but apparently was a good call.

Never saw that replay. I had only been a basketball ref for approximately 13-14 months when that game was played. I hadn't learned yet not to believe everything the announcers tell us.

Huh? You're a basketball? I knew we had coaches on the forum, but basketballs?

I love pulling out that photo when someone starts griping about that play!

my favorite part of that play was when the receiver had the ball go thru his hands and hit him in the face mask.....

I even bought that poster! I was a hard-core official then.

Nowadays I probably wouldn't've bought it, if it happened in January's game.

I hosted a par-tay some time in 2002 or 2003 and that call came up. I quietly went upstairs, brought down the poster and showed everyone. Made for good times.

No, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
