At Wise, Fans Behaving Badly
Washington Post
Sunday, March 4, 2007; Page E10 A young fan left the Maryland 3A South Region boys' final at Wise with a little extra cash in his pocket after another fan took issue with the game's officiating. With No. 5 Largo ahead by 20 points midway through the third quarter, officials called two technical fouls in 18 seconds on Great Mills. During an ensuing timeout, a Great Mills fan walked out of the bleachers, gave game officials an earful and theatrically dropped what appeared to be a $1 bill on the court. The moneyed fan was promptly ejected, and an official picked up the discarded bill and handed it to a young boy sitting in the front row of the bleachers. He apparently got his money's worth. -- Josh Barr |
Maybe the fan was just "making it rain" the same way Pacman Jones did in Vegas.
