Ya know, I came *that* close to picking VCU, but didn't. Oh well, I had them out next round so it was fun watching the dookies get bounced.

Might not care but I will mention anyways.

The company I work for is called Harris Corporation. This is the same Harris that has a plug at the beginning of each tournament game, and many RS games as well.

In fact, my job is to design new graphics systems used in the television industry.

So... basically there's a very high chance that some of the hardware that is being used to televise the broadcast was designed by yours truly.

Keep in mind that a broadcast is very intense and much equipment is found in the broadcast path.

Good God, I managed to get 5 wrong today.

Of course, my know-nothing-about hoops wife was 14-2 (missing VCU and Xavier).

Oh well, you rarely win in the first round anyway (although I have LOST there in the past).

Virginia Commonwealth's Eric Maynor grew up in Fayetteville, N.C., wanting to play for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Thursday, he beat their biggest rival with 22 points, six in the last 1:21.

I actually ran a pool last year with my high school students. No money involved. The prize for beating me was a few extra points on the next exam.

Doesn't matter. If my screen goes blank, I know who I'm blaming!

As an aside, I went 15/16 for the first day (KNEW I shouldn't have picked my own Colonials!). Getting ready for the rest of my brackets to go down the toilet today.

It's good to be included in the same list with other smart people.

Let's see how smart I am after today.

My 13 year old son was perfect for the day yesterday...I asked him how he picked VCU to upset Duke and he said he's been listening to Colin Cowherd on the drive to school every morning...little smart-a$$ is kicking my butt...

As I told the chatroom group last night, he was a 4 year starter in HS that I worked throughout his career. Good kid, always kept something going on the court. Glad to see him doing well. His picture is on the front page of a lot of sports sections today.
