NBA Rules
I know, it is the NBA, but if you pay attention to some of the games in an officials aspect of things you would notice this too. What is the rule for which basket the teams shot at in the second half? I have seen many NBA games this year and I am wondering what is the rule. Sometimes the team will shoot with its bench in the 2nd half and sometimes they wont. Didn't know what the actual rule was for the NBA. I do not want any smart*** remarks on this one about NBA not being basketball or what not just want a ruling. Thanks

The guys above me are right. The visiting team takes the floor first and whatever end they take the home team has to take the opposite, but the home team can choose their bench location. |

![]() We had this come up during our tounament round, so I suggested that the higher seeded team be considered home and get bench choice.

Back when Chuck Daly was coaching the Pistons, there was a rule that he could pick the bench that gave him the best camera angles for his hair.
