Play question...
A1 drives to the basket and gets fouled in the act of shooting. Before he goes to the line he taunts B2 and gets whacked. While reporting the foul we find out that the "T" is lucky number 5 on A1. Am I correct in saying that A1 is NOT allowed to shoot his free throws? Can the coach pick who shoots? Does it have to be the sub he brings in? This play was brought up and there has been mass confusion on how to handle this. Comments from the gallery are appreciated.......

A1 is DQ'd (not dairy queened, but I guess he can now go there) A DQ'd player can't attempt the free throws. His substitute must attempt them. This is not like a technical foul free throw where any one can shoot them.

Unless there is no sub available, then any of the remaining eligible players may shoot.
