Shoes

I know there has been much discussion on Shoes in here. I bought a new pair of the New Balance this year the Hi-gloss, and absolutely loved them. I was disappointed when a coach got me all fired up to the point where I left them at the school. Therefore bought a pair of Patent adidas that needed just a little coloring to make them all black.

I just saw on Nike that you can customize shoes. I was going to create custom black patent Elite shox through there website. It was pretty cool you can actually get your initials on them. Has anyone here gone that route before? Is it as simple as it seems?

Thanks

Yes, it is as simple as it seems.

It is on the nike website....I think I am just going to order them. I will let you know how I make out.

Yea...its simple and pretty quick. I order my son his b-ball shoes from there every year and have no complaints.

What patent addidas did you find and where did you find them? I'm a big addidas guy and both of my current pair are about done for.

These Nike Air Max 360 actually cover up and shine very well. They are kind of a reverse patent since they are high gloss on the lower half of the shoe...they are very comfortable too.

That's a lot of white. Those probably wouldn't fly in my area.

That covers up with a magic marker.

It takes about 3 applications of polish to get then shiney, but I think it's worth the 20 minutes...then it's just touch-ups.

I played with the site a bit. I attempted to make every part of the shoe black; however, the Swoosh and a mark near the back appear gray and the ID appears to be gold or yellow. Would that be allowed by the Rules?

I just sent my order, i will try and capture a picture for you. Everything is all black. You can either do regular or patent leather. I did the majority of it in patent leather. You probably just missed a couple of steps. The shoe I picked were the Nike ID Elite Shox.

I noticed a couple of times this year when my assignor was working HS games his big WHITE nike swoosh in the middle of his black sneakers...haha.. I think i saw a thread on this a week or so ago. I say no need to stand out, just go all black

I was using the Nike Azulikeit Shox iD. I was guessing a running shoe might be most comfortable. As you said you can get leather or mesh. I would prefer the leather. You can have the tops, soles, mudguards, lining, lace and swoosh all black. But the swoosh looked oulined in gray on the screen and the id showed in gold letters, but looked good.. Keep me posted .
