Off topic: Super Bowl Predictions

Alrighty.........

So its the day of the big game. It's time for everyone to throw out their predictions as to who will win the Super Bowl today.

Personally, I would like to see the Bears win, but my realistic side says Colts by a touchdown.

What's your prediction?

I predict rain.

tjones1 Sun Feb 04, 2007 02:52pm

I'm going with Da Bears.

They will definitely be the winners at our place.

I predict that some 4'7" 68-pound dwarf dressed in purple will come out at half-time, scream something unintelligible and illegible for about 10 minutes or so, and strut around like he's baaaaaaaad. I also predict that if I do happen to look at the tv while he's doing that, I'll burst out laughing.

I'm also wondering if anyone has ever seen that particular midget and Chuck Elias in the same room? Hmmmmmmmm.......

JRutledge Sun Feb 04, 2007 04:23pm

I predict that the Black coach who is coaching the Midwest team will win the game. ;)

Peace

Yes, you cannot bring up something that is talked about on every Super-Bowl Pre-game show (NFL Network, ESPN, Fox Sports, Comcast Network, CBS, Fox—Local TV, ABC—Local TV, even heard a story when I was in Indy last weekend) or read in any paper (Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, even read a story in Indy about that subject). I guess they do not have cable or newspapers in Canada. ;) Maybe if this was a hockey story, you would see this talked about.

Peace

Rut, where did JugglingReferee make that post? I do not see it in this thread?

He (someone) erased it.

Bears, especially if I'm getting the 7 point spread

Your powers of prediction sometimes amaze me. :D

JRutledge Sun Feb 04, 2007 05:51pm

I predict that this pre-game entertainment is a waste of time.

this will be a blowout ... a boring Super Bowl. 35-10 - Colts. It will be a game known for the commercials!

JRutledge Sun Feb 04, 2007 06:18pm

I predict that someone will win money on how long Billy Joel sings the National Anthem.

Peace

This is the 4th straight SB in Dolphin Stadium that a kick-off has been returned for a TD. In the previous 3 that team has lost.

Can we name them?

The only one I can think of right now was the Super Bowl with SF and Cincinnati.

Peace

JRutledge Sun Feb 04, 2007 07:31pm

Wow, Jim Nance actually made mention of this during the game. I guess that is typical Jim Nance to bring up a touchy subject. ;)

Maybe some should ban Coca-Cola and Doritos since both had commercials highlighting Black History Month and the fact that two Black coaches are coaching the Super Bowl. OMG, they actually put this incident on par with other historical events.
