Tech Foul...Which comes first?
 

Recent HS game.....

Team A goes up and is fouled by Team B. Basket does not go in. Team B is also hit with a technical foul for language.

Which comes first? Tech or foul shots? Also does team A get the ball at 1/2 court as well? I'm confused as to what happens first and when/if the Team A gets 4 free throws and ball at half....

In NFHS - administer the penalties for the fouls in the order which they occurred.

Shooting foul with lane cleared.

Techincal foul shots with lane cleared.

Ball to offended team at division line opposite table.

Make it simple.
 

You shoot everything in the order in which it took place.

In this case you shoot the FTs for the fouled shot (with the lane clear) with the fouled player.

Then you shoot the Technical Foul shots with whomever the coach or captains want to shoot those.

Then the ball goes to the division line because of the Technical foul to the offended team (Team A).
