...I actually ran into this prick at a camp in New England one summer. Yes, I said he's a prick.

From the article it's obvious he thinks he's the second coming of Gandhi.

Gandhi could sleep on a bed of nails, so I guess there is a connection.

I coached for a few years, and I can say whole-heartedly, that I would never publicly criticize my players or the team. If we won, it was because my players took care of their business, and if we lost, it was because I didn't take care of mine. In all the years I coached, I NEVER criticized a kid, except eye-to-eye and in private, but I praised the heck out of them when anyone was watching or would listen. Three district Championships and one Regional Championship in my first four years ain't too bad . . .

This guy either has a God-complex, or he caught a bad case of DUMB A$$! Either way, own up to the mistake and take your licks, and move on!

In spite of a certain amount of success, it always disappoints me when a participant becomes so self-indulgently "larger than the game".

I played against him when i was in HS at a local town and he was coaching. He didn't seem like a jerk at all; then again, i was playing and not officiating. but i thought our coach (not to be mentioned) was much more of a jerk to the referees than TF was.
