Would you favor a gradual move to...

...the side panel shirts in your association, league, conference, etc? For the purposes of the question, just assume everyone would either go or not to the panel.

For me, I would. At least with the shirts I have (Officials Choice brand), the side panel is a slightly different fabric that is more of a mesh than the rest of the shirt. There seems to be a little more of an "all-way" stretch to it and it seems to me, anyway, to be a bit more comfortable while doing the various signals we do as hoops officials.

I would. But then, I'm a sucker for finding reasons to spend money on officiating gear every new sport season.

I like the side panel shirts because I like the look and the shirts I have also feel great when wearing them. They are not too heavy and they are very soft and breathable. You do not have to twist my arm to make the change. I hope they do allow these shirts at some point.

Peace

We changed to the grey shirts last year. Hopefully we won't be changing again right away.

I don't care what shirts the officials wear as long as the entire crew looks the same.

I wouldn't want to switch. I think the panels look like a device to try to make chubby guys look thin.

I really liked the gray/grey shirts. There are incredibly comfortable, and with the color . . . you tend to blend into the game more and not stand out so much. But I will wear whatever I am asked to wear.

I wish someone would make a shirt that would be accepted by everyone from D1 on down. I also wish everyone would either wear the American flag, on the left arm, or not. Finally, I wish I would never have to even think about putting a state patch on a shirt again. Oh, I forgot about one more patch that will undoubtedly not get eliminated. The almighty (unneccesary) middle-man called IAABO.

As you can imagine, I have several shirts, for several different occasions.

That reminds me, I need to go double-check my bag now to make sure I have a shirt with and without a flag for tonight. Grrrrrr!

History lesson. They picked stripes for the officials waaaaaaay back so that we would stand out from the players. That was the whole idea behind stripes. Stop making ouselves part of a 3 on 2, and taking a pass off our head.

Seriously....

You forgot to add, "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

He'd better add that. He doesn't want the SPCCO after him.
