injured free throw shooter

player goes to shoot get fouled and is injured. coach comes out and after a minute or 2 says he is ok. do we follow same procedures as if he wasnt shooting. Ie sub needed unless TO buys him back in.

Yes and the sub would shoot the free throws. The coach could use a time out to keep them in the game to shoot their own throws. If they want the injured player back in the game without the time out they would have to wait for time to come off the clock before they could re-enter.

Here's the catch. If the coach is going to "buy his player" in, he needs to make that decision immediately. IOW, he can't put a sub in the game, call timeout, and then want his original shooter to shoot. Once the sub is made, the sub shoots.
Now, if, after the TO, the coach says his player isn't ready, he can sub or call another TO.

is granted to keep the player in the game. (3.3.5 Sit B)

Yes, rule 3-3-5 still applies even though the injured player is due merited FTs. Please, don't forget to give the coach the 30 seconds to replace the player if a substitution is going to be made.
