Technical Foul Question

Coach of team A has one T already. Regulation ends in tie, but after final horn Coach A runs onto the floor arguing a no call should have been a foul. If you give him a 2nd T do the FT's go in teh regualtion period, or in OT? Would those FT's, if made, end the game before OT period begins, or must the OT be played since regulation ended in a tie?

Shoot the FT to start over time. B brings ball in to start the OT...A gets the arrow...A assistant gets to finish game seated...A head coach gets to finish in the locker room.

If team B was behind by one or two, then you shoot the FT as part of regulation. After the FT, the game goes to overtime if tied or is over if not.

If the score is not tied when the horn sounds, you would not call that T would you?

If warranted, the answer is yes.

Peace

Mick Cronin vs. WVU?

yep, if an action is truely T-worthy, the scoreboard or clock should have no impact.

Rick, when regulation ended, the game was tied. Anything that occurs after that is part of OT.

Yes sir!

Absolutely I'd call this; if he earned it. The fourth quarter horn isn't a license to be stupid.

Larks, yes this involved Mick Cronin in UC v WVU. He did not get the T in this case, but I wondered how it would be handled if he had. Someone I talked to, not an official, thought the game would end if WVU had made either FT before OT started. So I asked the experts here.
